Everything you need to prepare
for your Baja expedition
Packing Guide
-
- Follow our official Predeparture Packing List that’s shared as a part of your confirmation packet to ensure you’re comfortable and prepared.
- “Less is more” – use smaller stuff sacks instead of bulky bags.
- Bring layers for warmth (especially Dec–Feb), a sun hat, reef-safe sunscreen, and water shoes. (For Expedition-style trips: See our downloadable How to Pack for a Kayak Expedition PDF for visuals.)
Health & Fitness
Trips are suitable for most active travelers. Expect 2–4 hours of daily paddling, light hikes, and beach camping. Guests of all ages have joined and a little pre-trip conditioning helps maximize enjoyment.
Insurance & Safety
We highly recommend travel insurance covering trip cancellation and evacuation. All guides are certified in first aid and trained in wilderness safety procedures.
Connectivity & Disconnecting
Wi-Fi in Loreto can be spotty so we encourage you to embrace the chance to unplug and reconnect with nature. It’s part of what makes these trips truly restorative.
Emergency Contact
Friends and family can reach our office at 415-332-8494 in the event of an emergency during your trip.
